Love Sees No Borders Participates in the First Meeting of Unity Coalition

On May 25, 2006, a group of 23 concerned activists met in Oakland, California, met to talk about raltions between African American and immigrant communities. The meeting was held at the greenling Institute, and was sponsored by the California Coalition for Civil Rights. People at the meeting represented Latino organizations, immigrant rights groups, African American organizations, and LGBTQ immigrant groups. This was the first of a series of meetings to take place in the future. The purpose of these meetings is towrok on unfying our communities of color on issues that affect us all.
